A bit of silence on my part

Afraid my negotiations with the Fund, being serious, are taking up my time. Shall continue to do so for several weeks until closing or break off.

I should say that among the items that I dislike so far is the move. Not soley that it is a move to the United States, which is not high on my destinations at present, but that my Bedouinism continues. As I count it, in the past decade I have changed countries of residence every two years. It does get a bit tiresome. Like to lengthen that average.

I shall also miss, if it comes to that, the quirkiness of my present venue, where I can go into the liqour section of the supermarket (it has one) and browse domestic wines next to a woman wearing a relatively conservative hidjab. Surely not for her own consumption (although one never knows) but perhaps for a guest or her husband. And this, while rare, is not a unique occurance.

However, not there yet.

Nevertheless, due to my current obsessions, my postings are likely to be more self-absorbed and referential than is my habit, although if this closes and works out, you get to have a front seat on the launch of a relatively substantial private "private equity" effort in the region. If it doesn't, well, no matter.
