Too close
My fund mates were in the Hyatt for negotiations on some closing issues. Barely escaped.
Well, my little Fund venture almost ended last night. It's a bit shaking you know, a bit shaking. I guess Kuwait might be out now, the mates are obviously a bit rattled.
Well, none of us are children.

You've written extensively on The Curse of the Lounsbury and how it dooms any new projects you become associated with, but this is really a bit much. I shudder to think what might happen when the fund actually closes. Whatever you do, don't eat the salmon mousse at the deal dinner.

Ah, you remember.
So far, well....
The interesting thing about the Curse of the Lounsbury is the doom rarely has anything to do with me.
For example, the Titanic at present is lurching hither and thither for reasons utterly irrelevant to my own actions.
I remain bemused.
However, it is true, by having me on the Fund, the Principals may be signing their death warrents.

There was a character in the old Lil' Abner comic strip who always had a cloud hovering above him that would wreak havoc on anything unlucky enough to cross his path.
