For the Language Nerd
I stumbled across this site, in fact I have before come to think of it, but for the language nerd out there, I share this fine small introduction to Maghrebi dialects, part of a longer excerpts on the Arabic language. For those of you who speak Arabic, and wondered why the Maghrebine dialects were such a pain in the ass, here you have a nice intro. Fascinating, I learned a few things, and there was much linguistics mumbo jumbo I did not follow.

Language nerd, checking in. :-) Hey, has there been any thought given to a wider collection of reference links here, or is it more trouble than the resources justify? Because this map is pretty cool, too.

Well, you know that I am an entirely self-indulgent masturbator here so my thought processes pretty much start and end with me. It's my most charming side.
However, if there is a general interest, and eerie likes the idea....
Meanwhile, I merely go about my own whanking.

You know, that was a mental picture I really could have lived without.

Oh rubbish, I'm a handsome devil if nothing else.

I'm actually reading this book for a class I'm taking. We've only just started, but it's quite good.

Handsomeness, which I am not in a position to judge in any case, is only a small part of the equation.
P.S. Glad to see some other language nerds out there.

I do, but have a pounding headache at the moment and haven't thought it through.
There's certainly room for it in the Select Bibliography (may need a new way to frame the section if it has online resources as well). Also need people to compile links.
There is the potential to build a really valuable resource area on 'Aqoul. Will take some effort though.

dear e,
compiling (link) lists should not be the problem ... IF it is a group effort.
