It progresses

Although now me white blood count is down in the low double digits. Have been advised to walk around with a face mask. Feel rather queer about that.

Urban bicyclists often wear mini darth vader lower-face masks to filter out pollution.

I think one of those with a black hood would be quite striking.

They aren't going to shoot you full of blood-product stimulators?

Maybe next week. Single digits is where it gets to that point. I also get my fab see-where-we-are-scan to report if I am lucky or unlucky.

My (hopeful, but not unlikely based on my reading) prediction: 60% reduction in size, with a good chance that what remains is merely scar tissue.

on unrelated business, did eerie turn off the ability to get updates via email when someone leaves a comment?

The site upgrade.

Notifications may be automatic now (based on email address entered with the comment). Have not looked into it as fifty other things went strange after the upgrade. Bloody webmastering.

Hi Col-

I realize this is unsolicited advice so I'll ask your padron in advance.

In all seriousness, re; white cell count you might consider trying this:

2-3 gm of L-Lysine ( a free form amino acid) every couple of hours.

You may find the white cell count markedly higher as a result. Did this with a close relative who went through chemo and who had trouble geting the count high enough for treatment. Very inexpensive. Just slightly annoying to pop the capsules

I like practical and pragmatic advice, and wnat to avoid the too low thing. Where does one obtain this substance?

Posted by: The Lounsbury at January 27, 2006 05:34 AM

At one of the better ( larger selection) health food stores, GNC's, Vitamin World's etc. Or online.

Capsules or powder absorbs far better than tablets. Best to take it with some kind of juice as the simple sugars positively affect the absorption.

L-Glutamine, another amino , also helps the immune system but if you mix the two aminos at the same time they are apt to form peptides in the gut and you lose the effectiveness of either.
