Sometimes one has to hang one's head in shame

I do.

I was just having a touching base chat with my assistance back in country who kindly told me of the latest sign of really mind numbing incompetence in my firm.

They wired our office rent to the driver. Who seems to have spent it or part of it, thinking it a bonus.

The later is a lame excuse, but their scummy behaviour towards him since I have been in cancer exile and since my office Director resigned, well it has been scummy, nasty and typically short-sighted.

Never mind our contract with him is in clear violation of local labour laws, and while might be in keeping with a small local firm, is the sort of thing an international American firm in the financial sector should not be doing, and indeed could get us in deep fucking trouble. All because the accountant slob of a moron who does such things is some know-nothing cretin from the depths of New York suburbs, and who regarded all local employees as sub-humans unworthy of consideration by Americans.

How one could mistakenly wire such a sum to the driver escapes me, but it's humiliating to draw a paycheck from such a firm. I hope we go belly up, we deserve to.
