Afraid the only excuses I can offer involve familial hospitalizations and getting roped into organizing my high school reunion (class of 700+, thrown together in less than a month, including people coming from other continents). All of the above will be cleared up by the end of this weekend, though, barring further catastrophes.

I'm even late making my excuses. Fucked off to Denmark and then Athens for a week plus so as to get out of my parents' hair for a while (and them off my nerves, for that matter). Worthwhile, and I might put parts of it in my personal journal, but no insights really worthy of an aqoul post. I'll try to post some impressions once I get back to Beirut, hopefully some time next week.

tom: excuses! you could have stayed in beirut. it's not like the city was COMPLETELY leveled. (is your residence is still standing and intact?)
