The Fox Conversions
Frankly bizarre. Just saw the videotapes.
The forced "conversions" to Islam smell a tiny bit fishy. It's not the typical neo-Salafi thing. Either the captors were complete ignoramuses (which one can never exclude, above all in Ghaza) or there is something of a whiff of agitprop manipulation there.

L: I've been out of the media loop for a few days (was climbing a mountain, figuratively and literally). I'm assuming you're referring to those two Fox journalists that were kidnapped a few weeks back? Do you have a link to the video?

I made a similar observation and Aziz Poonawalla of City of Brass's comment was that it had propaganda value. If so, I'd think it was for the other side.

Being surrounded by MENA Arab Muslims I can attest directly none thought highly of the forced conversion; at best some ignoramuses did an own goal.
I have to say that the suspicion these were faux Islamists -perhaps Fatah- donig something to make HAMAS look bad can't be excluded, although the ignoramus hick moron angle is also highly attractive.
