France, Immigration: On Delusions & Ignorance
Clive Davis has drawn my attention (in some ways I curse him) to a new round of utterly idiotic ignorant American whanking on about the problems in the French immigrant and native-born ethnic minority ghettoes.
While the violence infesting the immigrant and native born ethnic minority ghettoes is clearly reaching grotesque proportions, I have to question the sanity (or in the alternative honesty and/or intelligence) of writers that can send off missives characterising this as an issue of "Islamic militias" or of mass (white) emmigration to North America (the later proposition rather clearly racist).

I suppose, by that reasoning, the '92 LA riots were an African coup attempt?

Obviously. A sinister plot hatched by the Enemies of Freedom, that begun when pan-African agents immigrated en masse under cover as "slaves" in the 18th century. And if you give me just a minute, I will provide a couple of out-of-context quotes by Malcolm X and Kwame Nkrumah that PROVES it too.
Meanwhile, you can prepare the invasion plans for just about any sub-Saharan African country. (Though Nigeria, Angola, Gabon and Equatorial Guinea for some reason strike me as especially rogue and dangerous.)

Uh, on another topic.
Lounsbury: Don't know where to put this, but since this is a subject you've brought up several times, here's a Washington Post article you might want to read. Seems it's pushing a book, might also be interesting.

Sorry this is off topic but...as I read this post in yr left sidebar there is an ad for Engarde Body Armor ("concealable, tactical," etc.) It makes you wonder what those stupid bots were thinking when they decided to put such an ad on yr blog. Do they take you for a Muslim militant, right wing loony, or libertarian capitalist who needs to protect his business interests??

We've gotten more than a few strange ones (Ariel Sharon bobblehead dolls, MI5 recruitment, etc).
It's some kind of bizarre algorithm based on page content and readership. We do have a fair number of USMil visitors.

As I wrote during the disturbances last year they're behaving the way they are because they're French (and would like to be treated as though they were) not because they're Muslims.

I really don't believe that, that's a crude characterisation of the French. French strike when they want something, they don't go on a rampage. The French riots look a lot like '92 LA riots, try to compare them: (ethnic underclass + social exclusion) * police violence = explosion of self-destructive violence.
