Introducing Ramadan

Amusing intro to Ramadan: Ramadan, When Less Is More - from the Washington Post, but evidently an Egyptian-American journo. Only an Egyptian would feature snot soup as a Ramadan meal.

snot soup

Bleuurh. Sounds vile.

Give me a piping hot bowl of foul any day, loaded with oil, garlic and lemon.

for an outsider, Ramadan appears to be all about food. Lovely, juice, tender bits of tasty yummy food things at the end of the day.

Nothing preventing you from an Iftar as a backslider. You're just too bloody honest.

Hey, I'm not even a backslider and I'm not missing out on Christmas! Well, not the presents bit anyway.

Anyone gonna post a recipe for that "foul", or was that it?

Fouol soup, bah.

The nectar of god is Harira followed closely by Miloui Mou3mer.
