Smart Phone & PDA
I have grown sick of both my current phone and my current PDA. Perhaps some of the nerds who read this may have ideas as to business oriented (meaning able to edit easily MS Office docies, sync up with Outlook on contacts and calenders -yes I am sure there are better choices out there, but that does me fuck all of good) PDA or potentially Smart Phones. Blackberry is not an option I may add.

while potentially fitting the "nerd" definition, i have to plead Luddite on this category. i'm using the cheapest phone i could find and a six year old PDA that i got for free.
i assume you want something that is native 3G and backwards compatible with the old standards, and has an easily replaceable SIM chip. are you limited to the domestic market?

I can fly to Paris or London, London seems likely next month.

You want a Nokia E61. 3G/GSM quad band, WLAN, compatible with all push e-mail solutions, Symbian S60 operating system, mini-qwerty keyboard.

htc tytyn is rather good. is generally rebranded by operators, but basically a pda phone with slide out keyboard. not as svelte as the nokia, but does more.
