Oh Who Will Deliver Me From These Unturbulent Employees?!

I wish I could fire them.

The whole bloody lot.

It's not that they're terrible, it's just they're so bloody mediocre and no matter how many times I revise something, the next attempt shows the same fucking errors.

Even my assistant. Terribly hard worker, and yet just doesn't "get it."

I miss my old assistant. She was brilliant, could read my hand writing, and actually produced drafts that I needn't spend hours correcting.

All you need is one decently competent right hand. Makes all the other morons bearable.

However, if you don't even have that...

I have uninspired right and left hands.

They're not terrible, they're just not.... that useful.

aren't there any expat kids who want an extra couple of bucks that you could hire?

Not sure if being Lounsbury's intern would be all that much fun...

Ha. I like this. It's reassuring to know I'm not the only one who suffers this way.

Actually, there's a thought. How well would you pay someone who can't speak anything except English fluently, but wants to learn about the region?

you'd get a fair number of interested people if you paid for the plane ticket and living expenses.

Shaheen Bey

Bah. Bah, and double bah.

As for the paid intern concept - afraid I need trilinguals first of all - and second I need peeps up to speed. Else I'll just have yet more hands wasting my time.
