Global Blog Commentary as Twittery
I am sure that if this gets linked I shall endure much flaming, but as I don't give a bloody fuck:
In our Aggregator / Syndicator (depenidng on the terminology) I always find posts from the "Global Voices Online" - some precious bit of ... well wooley headed Leftish oriented Kumbaya sharing preciousness that I suppose serves a purposes (although for the love of fucking I hope it is low rent, or supported by some intellectually impaired artist who has more money than reason) in boosting global communication.
However, things like this post (which is not perhaps the best example... well it is not a good example, it simply provoked my gathering irritation. Plus I have been supporting Castro this evening) irritate me.

I really must be missing the point of the last link (and as such, why it irritates you besides its pointlessness). I've known short skirts (or even topless beaches) in Tunisia for as far as I can remember.

Pointlessness is the point.

Matthew, read L. above, and you'll see how this organization is hoganized.
ha ha, that was a lame hoganism.

Sorry, must be the result of a week of long and intense workload and near zero rest/sleep.

While I don't defend any posts on Global Voices, even my own (in the sense of having a point, that is), the purpose of the site itself is to amplify the voices of bloggers and give perhaps another perspective than the mass media. If you've ever lived in America, where most international news sites are unavailable without satellite and the most popular news program is on Fox, you'll know why this is important.
If the posts are boring, it's not the fault of volunteer authors; rather, bloggers just aren't saying anything interesting. Som e
(p.s. Mind you, your blog has been quoted on Global Voices before)

Et alors? Aqoul et have been quoted on Global Bloody Voices. I feel all tinglely. Why I might go out and get pissed. Well, I've been quoted personally and bloggy wise in The Financial Times as well.
So the bloody fuck what? My criticism - which I rather admit easily was at once vague, sloppy, and hardly worth reading - I can make excuses of course but hardly worth the time - is the bloody "Global Voices" bullshit has an awful tendency to parrot the usual vaguely Left Wishy Washy Feel Good Speak English or Otherwise Accessible blither that your usual typical humanities educated Anglophone writer does - it's at best parroting. At best.
Fine, Americans are provincial cretins. So the bloody fuck what, you're not doing any bloody fucking anything doing the usual "we are the world" bloody fucking Harvard blah blah blah Global Voices parroting.
You're bloody well talking to your fucking selves. Sorry (well not really, but I can pretend) for being so blunt, but bloody well wake up, eh?
If you really bloody want to make a bloody impact, stop being such fucking earnest "change the world and talk to such nice people" gits and write something ... out of the Left Academic Box.
The bloody American Right Bolshevik (and let me note I have precious little sympathy for the Left other than as useful idiots) blogocracy bloody well works because they're working these angles. You people are, well, wasting motherfucking electrons.
Now fuck off.
