Encore Vivant, Scans Edition
A small personal note for the interested.
Taking the opportunity of my European business trip, getting reacquainted with one branch of the family's Germano-Belgian roots (family legend has it that a certain paternal grandmaternal paterfamilias decided to become Anglo Saxon after losing the family house in gambling in a drinking house in a little district now in Belgium), I am pleased to say that the extremely expensive scans I have to do have once again confirmed the cancer is seen off.
Pity, though that the various batter of expensive tests also indicate I seem to have acquired a bit of neurological damage that is turning out to be more persistent than expected. Well, small price to pay for dodging the bullet. I shall have to resign myself to being "Twitchy" in the near future.
Now that vacation season is coming, not for me as I have deal to package up - with an insane amount of gearing, but hey, I wasn't the one that conceived of the gearing - I shall have some more commenting time. Should have more space as well to indulge my fancies as I shall be engaging several summer slaves (that is, interns) to abuse researching various whims and ideas for new markets.
However, the new top regional performer and turn-around office gets to be indulged, until someone stabs him in the back. That would be about 3 months I would say, as I rather madly said in the half-year conference call this week that I was fairly confident of hitting my numbers. I doubt I can, but my immediate big boss was singing the praises noting I close 50% of upcoming quarters business in the first two weeks of the quarter. Of course, had to, since we have Summer and then Ramadan, which utterly fucks the Third Quarter.

That is excellent news!
Re Ramadan: I can't wait for the meltdown next year/2009 when Ramadan finally coincides with the UK holiday season and the malls are full of package tourists mindlessly gobbling food in front of the indignant fasting faithful.
Particularly as the offenderati are getting noisier and more outraged year by year.

Which part, you know I am shy of such specifics.
