Idiot Journo Blither: Bin Laden and Dyed Beards
I find the whole calling on Americans to convert thing boring, stereotypical and even comical, although I am sure it will provoke the usual hysteria. For the moment I am more irritated by idiotic journo rubbish
From the caption:
bin Laden's beard appears to have been dyed, a popular practice among Arab leaders, said Rita Katz, director of the SITE Institute, a Washington-based group that monitors terror messages.
How about a popular practice among aging men?
Or do we need a survey of non-Arab world leaders over age say 50 with suspiciously dark hair.

Might there not be a 'deeper meaning' to it, though? I seem to recall reading somewhere that it is Islamic tradition to ask your enemy to convert to Islam as a sort of truce offer. If they reject that (as Americans surely will) then, according to this interpretation of Islamic law, you are justified in attacking them.

interestingly, henna was a Sunnah practise for dying one's beard, and the Prophet disallowed dying one's beard black (as it deceived others about one's age) unless it was for the purposes of making war and persuading ones' enemies of their youthfulness...
either way, f*** him and the horse he rode in on, I hold Osama majorly accountable for the American invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq - even if they had planned them before hand, as substantive evidence indicates, he gave the Pentagon the 'gilded opportunity' - and so he needs to have a bullet placed in his head by some Pashto orphan who lost his family in the American bombing, or better yet lost his mother to a al-Qaeda-inspired suicide bomber - but Allah knows best.
I lost a good friend on 9/11, who worked as a database manager for Marsh&McLennan - and was muslim incidentally - and have zero support for people who think it's logical to proclaim that to murder other innocent civilians is reasonable so long as they do it to you - sympathy for those dying and who want revenge is one thing, supporting literally suicidal policies that will just increase the number of murdered, and to zero alleviation of the injustices and oppressive policies they're meant to protest is another thing, and moronic

He is not ours or of us and never was and never will be. The brothers who worked the long times for our religion are damaged by this dog and the sons of dogs who believe him and his falseness. We know- a lam ya'lam bi 'annalla-hu yaraa. May G-d blacken his false and lying face that has disgraced us and the religion of the Beloved of G-d like he has made black his beard.
In my time, the Muslims in the NWFP dyed their beards and hair a bright orange to make them attractive to their women. I found this image strange. Daud - this is hadith?

I don't think I've seen anyone who wasn't Jewish use the word G-d before.
